Primary Education

Competences gained:

Knowledge and comprehension:

  • knows the fundamentals of humanities, psychological and pedagogical sciences;
  • knows the history of pedagogy, general pedagogy, psychology and professional methods of primary education;
  • knows the main principles of a child’s psychology and cognitive development;
  • is able to use methods, content and forms of pedagogical work with primary school children.

 

Knowledge and comprehension application:

  • knows modern professional methods of teaching primary school children;
  • is able to conduct competent research in the field of pedagogy, psychology and primary school children diagnostics;
  • is able to use various forms and methods of teaching and educational influence in work with parents.

 

Judgment formation:

  • employs group, differentiated and individual approach in work with primary school children;
  • facilitates harmonious development of pupil’s personality development, his/her creativity and aptitudes;
  • uses professional and practical skills based on professional methods, psychology and pedagogy in comprehensive secondary school of the first level.

 Preschool education

Competences gained:

Knowledge and comprehension:

  • knows the fundamentals in the field of humanities and socio-economic sciences;

knows the fundamentals of psychological and pedagogical as well as methodological disciplines, necessary for solving pedagogical and organizational tasks;

  • knows the content, organizational forms and methods of teaching and educating preschool children, necessary for promoting their harmonious development.

Application of knowledge and comprehension:

  • has skills in planning, organization and successful realization of teaching and educational work with preschool children;
  • can apply knowledge in pedagogy, psychology, professional methods in the process of organizing subject-practical, and subject-creative activities of preschool children;
  • uses different types of visual methods, audiovisual facilities and a computer in work with children;
  • assists children in gaining life experience, knowledge and skills necessary for their further studies at school.

Judgment formation:

  • employs a differentiating and individual approach to children, promotes the development of their abilities and aptitudes;
  • monitors the level of knowledge and skills development, using innovative technologies and different methods of empirical investigation, cooperates with the family.

 

Social work education

Competences gained:

Knowledge and comprehension:

  • knows the theoretical fundamentals in the field of philosophy, general, social and special pedagogy;
  • has a basic notion about theories of communication, main rules and norms of communication, key principles of conflictology, the essence and peculiarities of communication with different social groups;
  • has a notion about the fundamentals of psychodiagnostics and psychological correction, and application of psychological investigation methods in the society;
  • has the skills of pedagogical activity, competent organization of social and pedagogical interaction with pupils, oriented towards their personal development;
  • knows the content, forms and methods of social and pedagogical work with children and youth, is able to perform preventive, advisory, prognostic, rehabilitation and correctional work.

Knowledge and comprehension application:

  • can determine the amount of necessary social and pedagogic, psychological and medical assistance for different population groups;
  • can plan, organize and hold: individual and group advisory, psycho-correctional, preventive activities with children and their parents; psychological correction of asocial behavior of children, teenagers, and youth; cultural and health-improving work in children’s health camps;
  • can apply methods of psychological investigation, analyze the received results;
  • can use different forms and methods of educational influence on juveniles at place of their residence, work, studies;
  • can interact with different social institutions and services in connection with the implementation of a set of steps for social and pedagogical assistance to difficult children;
  • can use techniques of individual work with pedagogically-abandoned children;
  • can collect, analyze and classify the information about social problems of children, youth and aged people.

  • is аble to implement key directions of the target programs in health protection and cultural and leisure activities;
